Algirdas Burksa

Algirdas Burksa, 65, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side,after a long illness, on the evening of Sunday, July 10, 2016 at St. Mary's Vitas.

Born on September 13th 1950, Al was one of two children of Frank and Anastasia

Burksa. He was predeceased by his brother George Burksa.

He leaves behind his wife and soul mate of thirty four years Helen Lantieri-Burksa and their five children: daughter Dawn Dessureau and her husband James Sr.; a son Al Burksa Jr. and his wife Tracey; a son Daniel Lantieri and his wife Heather; a son DavidLantieri and his wife Teresa; and a daughter Tina Cruz and her husband Isabello.

He was the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild and many niecesand nephews.

Al was a devoted husband. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, camping, cook outs and most of all spending time with his family.

Family and Friends may call at Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-ZembruskiFuneral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, with a service at 11:30am. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
