Beryl (Green) Tuckey

Naugatuck -Mrs. Beryl Green Tuckey, age 93, passed away on Tuesday September 22, 2015 in Beacon Brook Health Center.  She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Tuckey Sr. She was born in Milford, CT on January 8, 1922, daughter of the late William and Marie Tedesco Green.  She had lived most of his life in Naugatuck and worked at Uniroyal, Melorias Children’s Hospital, Naugatuck Glass, Risdon, New Departure in Bristol, and as a Nurse’s Aide. She was a member of St. Vincent’s Ladies Guild, the Support Group of St. Thomas Church in Southington and the Gadabouts. She is survived by her sons Kenneth R. Tuckey Jr. and his wife Marie of Naugatuck and Robert J. Tuckey and his wife Barbara of Prospect, two brothers Frederick Green and Daniel Green, two grandchildren, Scott Tuckey (Mary Yang), and Meagan Tuckey Merlen (Dallas), and 2 great grandchildren, Maverick and Harper Merlen. Besides her husband, Beryl was predeceased by her two sisters, Barbara Pearson and Shirley Pearson, and her brother William Green. Her funeral will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 at 9:30AM from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, (Route 63) Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.  Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-8PM.
