Celina (Ortiz) Rodriguez

Waterbury-Celina (Ortiz) Rodriguez, age 81, widow of Jose F. Rodriguez, passed away peacefully on Friday March 27, 2015 at Beacon Brook Health Care Center.

Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Puerto Rico on September 9, 1933, daughter of the late Juan and Consuelo Ortiz.  She had lived most of her life in Connecticut and was employed at many area restaurants during her life.  She was a member of Sacred Heart- Sagrado Corazon Church in Waterbury, and she enjoyed singing and dancing.

Celina is survived by her children, Jamie Perez of Colorado Springs, CO, and Magda Rosado of Prospect; her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, and many other relatives.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday April 2, 2015  at 10:30a.m.from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to Sacred Heart-Sagrado Corazon Church, 13 Wolcott Street,Waterbury, for a Blessing at 11:00a.m.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, East Main Street, Waterbury.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30a.m. to 10:30a.m.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
