Naugatuck-John R. Draves, age 89, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Wednesday July 27, 2016.
Mr. Draves was born on August 6, 1926 in Norwalk, CT, son of the late John and Anna (Brusko) Draves. He had worked for many years as a chemist in Stamford . John was a member of the Naugatuck Senior Center. He was an avid hiker, and founded the Valley Vagabonds, a local senior hiking group.
He is survived by his brother Donald D. Draves of Fairfield; his niece Elizabeth D. Jardine and her husband Patrick; and his nephew, John D. Draves and his wife Roberta and their family.
