Nadia was a friend I got to know at the Village at East Farms..She reminded me so much of my grandmother. My grandmother was from Austria/Hungry and Nadia had so
many gestures and speech accent like my grandmother..I used to tell Nadia she was my grandmother brought back to life. To me Nadia looked like my grandmother. No one else could see it. My sympathy to George and Michael who I got to know from their visits to see Nadia. My prayers to all of Nadia's families.

My deepest sympathy to Nadia's family I have some memories of our times together at Unisys. Nadia, my mother, Edna Piel and I worked at Unisys for many years. She always greeted me with "Good morning, stada baba" and I'd repeat it back to her. I still don't know what "Stada Baba" means!!! We would have a good laugh and get on with our day. I can still hear her sweet laugh.
The best memory I have of Nadia was on November 17, 1984. I always loved Nadia's babka and always teased her as to when she would bake me one . On that day I was showering in our home on Cooke St. in Waterbury and when I came downstairs there was a freshly baked warm babka on my kitchen counter. She had knocked on the door but I didn't hear her. As the door wasn't locked, she came in and left the surprise. That was one of the best wedding presents I could have received. That's the kind of sweet person Nadia was. By the way, I married her mechanic, Joe from Homer St. Garage. on that day. Joe remembers her well. She will be missed.

I remember her well from the concert at the horse farm. I stayed with her the entire night. Iremember how when the song “I look up to you” was being sung she started to cry and I just reached over and handed her a Kleenex.
She was so proud of Mike that night.
My condolences to all the family.
