Nancy M. Rossi

NAUGATUCK – Nancy M. Rossi, 73, of Naugatuck, passed away at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 after a long illness.

Nancy was born in Waterbury on October 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Elio and Rose (Mazzetti) Rossi.  She was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck.  She retired from Peter Paul after ten years of service and also worked alongside her father at the American Brass Country Club.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She leaves, two sons, Elio and Thomas Matan both of Naugatuck; a brother, Orazio “Roz” Rossi and his wife Leslie of Naples, FL; two sisters, Donna Shea and her husband Charles of Prospect, Ursula Rossi of Prospect; an uncle, Joseph Mazzetti and his wife Toni of Waterbury; an aunt, Tara Mazzetti of Wolcott; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly Matan and uncle, Armand Mazzetti.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9 at 10:30a.m. at St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck.  Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church at 10:15a.m.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Masonicare Home Health & Hospice, 22 Masonic Ave, Wallingford Center, CT 06492 or to the Naugatuck Food Bank, P.O.
