Bethany-Yvon Philibert, age 73, beloved husband of Nicole (Fortin) Philibert, passed away at Griffin Hospital in Derby on Monday July 31, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Philibert was born in Canada on October 10, 1943, son of the late Lucien and Yvonne (Guilmette) Philibert. A longtime Bethany resident, he worked as a local truck driver and carpenter in the area for many years until his retirement. Yvon served in the Canadian Airforce for four years and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Besides his wife Nicole, he is survived by his children, Ian Philibert and his wife Cheryl of Bethany and Sylvie Napoli and her husband Paul of Orange; his four grandchildren, Nicolas, Danielle, Brian and Bryce; his two brothers of Canada; and several nieces and nephews, including Rene Philibert.
