Beacon Falls-Elsie “Bev” Russell, age 75, widow of Frank Russell, passed away at Griffin Hospital on Thursday June 29, 2017.
She was born in Oxford, MA on March 26, 1942, daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Dexter) Perry. She was a longtime resident of Beacon Falls, and had owned and operated the Oxford Tavern in Oxford, MA.
Elsie is survived by her son, Robert H. Smith of Long Island, NY; her grandchildren, Michael Booth of Oxford, MA and Robert J. Smith of Naugatuck; her great grandson, Devon Smith, and her loving siblings. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tammy Perry.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday July 1, 2017 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.
