Annmarie Cooke Obituary

Cheshire-Annmarie Cooke, age 71, widow of Milton L. Cooke, passed away on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS unit.

 

Mrs. Cooke was born in Waterbury, CT on May 7, 1946, daughter of Teddy A. Chmielinski of Waterbury and the late Eleanor (Kulesza) Chmielinski.  A longtime resident of Cheshire, she was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and began her career as a teacher.  Annmarie had also worked for the State of New York, and eventually retired  as Fiscal Administrative Manager from the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families.  She enjoyed reading and antiques, but her true passion was boating with her late husband Milton.

 

 

Besides her father Ted, she is survived by her son, Adam Henry Cooke of Cheshire, her sister, Diane Cashero and her husband Tom of Clinton, OK; her sister and brother in law, Rosemary and Larry Shelton of Nashville, TN; her sister in law, Helen Cooke of Woodbury; her aunt Jadwiga Kosakowski of Cheshire; and several nieces and nephews.
