Cassie (Nawrocki) Tuminski

Waterbury-Cassie (Nawrocki) Tuminski, age 94, widow of Benjamin Tuminski, passed away on Friday June 2, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Mrs. Tuminski was born in Duryea, PA on April 26, 1923, daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Anastasia (Shevinski) Nawrocki.  She was a longtime Waterbury resident, and retired from Mattatuck Manufacturing after many years of service.  Cassie will be missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing and enjoying her company.

Cassie is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Aubertin and her husband Raymond of Waterbury; her grandson Christopher Aubertin of Tacoma, WA; her companion and best friend, Ted Meylan of Naugatuck, and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig’s Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Office of Radio and Television, 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, CT 06712.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
