Prospect-Delfina (Tribanas) Paulo, age 87, widow of Americo Paulo, passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Glendale Center surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Paulo was born in Portugal on December 17, 1931, daughter of the late Augusto and Joaquima (Ramos) Tribanas. She came to the United States in August 1969 with her family from Portugal and had worked at Mattatuck Manufacuting for many years. Delfina was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family.
She leaves her son Francisco Paulo of Naugatuck; her daughters, Maria DeLurdes Pinho of Naugatuck, Marie Ribeiro of Prospect, Theresa Couto of New Jersey, Arminda Merolle of Watertown, Fernanda Chicano of Prospect, Fatima DaSilva of Naugatuck, Elizabeth Pregano of Prospect, and Natalia Curma of Stratford; her sister Arminda Batista of Naugatuck; her 17 grandchildren; her five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Seara Velha, Portugal.
