Waterbury-Helen Niedzial, age 95, passed away peacefully at Glendale Health Center on Wednesday January 30, 2019.
She was born in Waterbury, CT on October 21, 1923, daughter of the late Emil and Josephine (Ploski) Niedzialkowski. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, she graduated from Wilby High School in 1941. Helen retired as Payroll Supervisor from Scovill Century Brass after 41 years of service. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Waterbury.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Linda Castro (George) of Prospect, Gregory and Regina Przybysz, and Francine Scricca, all of Jacksonville, FL; and grandnieces and nephews; Justin (Emily) Scricca, Lauren Scricca, and Anne and Michael Castro. Helen was predeceased by her siblings; Agnes (Frank) Przybysz, Theresa Sawoski (Joseph), Marie Niedzial, and Carl (Judy) Niedzial.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 10 a.m.at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
