Jason P. Godfrey

Naugatuck-Jason P. Godfrey, age 41, husband of Yolanda (Rojas) Godfrey, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Friday September 1, 2017.

He was born on August 15, 1976, in Bridgeport, CT, son of James Godfrey, Sr. of Stratford and Dianne (Loso) Kranyak of Summerville, SC.  He was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and a graduate of Naugatuck High School.  Jason was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a diehard New England Patriots Fan.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, the outdoors, his dogs, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife, Yolanda and his parents, Jason leaves his children, Jeki Godfrey Diaz of Naugatuck, and Justus Godfrey Perez of Waterbury; his brother James Godfrey, Jr. of Deltona, FL; his sisters, April Godfrey of Waterbury, Jennifer Godfrey of Stratford, and Missy Massandra of Shelton; his paternal grandmother, Rita Godfrey of Deltona, FL; his dad, Michael Kranyak of South Carolina; his step mother, Joyce Godfrey of Stratford; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck.  Those attending the mass are asked to please meet at the church at 9:15 a.m.  Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury.  Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
