NAUGATUCK- Jeffrey Paul Laliberte, 51, of Naugatuck, died Saturday, November 24th at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury after a brief illness with his loving family at his side
Jeffrey was born in Waterbury March 31st,1967, son of Jane (Kruse) Laliberte of Naugatuck and the late Marcel Laliberte. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart University with a degree in chemical engineering and from Briarwood College with a degree in pharmacology. He worked as a cashier at Target in Waterbury.
Jeffrey was a fourth degree master blackbelt in Tang Soo Do and one of the five founding members of the Tang Soo Do Masters Alliance. He was a member of the Naugatuck Handicapped Association. He was a member of the Newington Cruisers , competing in many track and field events and wheelchair road races throughout Connecticut . He was an avid New York Yankees fan.
In addition to his mother he leaves brothers Mark Laliberte and his wife Terri of Thomaston, Kenneth Laliberte of Tariffville, sisters Denise Guerrera and her husband Charles of Oakville and Kimberly Laliberte of Naugatuck, nephews Ryan Laliberte of Torrington,Eric Laliberte of Thomaston and Nathan Guerrera of Oakville, nieces Adrianna and Ella Guerrera of Oakville and great nephew Elias Laliberte of Torrington.
Jeffrey’s family would like to express speciall thanks to Dr. Edmund Caporaso and his staff as well as the Critical Care Unit in St. Marys Hospital for their compassion and care.
ARRANGEMENTS-Funeral Services will held Tuesday, November 27h at 11:00 A.M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St.James Cemetery, Cross Street Naugatuck. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
