Naugatuck-Maria Lurdes Vida, age 92, widow of Joaquim S. Vida, passed away on Friday September 29, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital
She was born on November 15, 1924, and lived in Naugatuck since 1970. Lurdes retired from Naugatuck Glass Company after 17 years of service and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church
Lurdes is survived by her daughters, Adelaide Gabriel and Ceu Oliveira, both of Naugatuck; her two grandchildren and her great granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Those attending are asked to please meet at the church at 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Lorenco Cemetery in Gouveia, Portugal. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
