Americo Gabriel

BEACON FALLS - Americo Gabriel, 80, of Beacon Falls, also known affectionately as "Mickey" and "Gabe", died Saturday October 5th, 2019 at Hartford Hospital.  Americo was born in Naugatuck November 24th, 1938, son of the late Ralph and Viola (Visselli) Gabriel. He worked as a long shoreman in New Haven and for the Ct State Highway Department until his retirement. He was always willing to help anyone and could fix anything. Friends called him the man with the golden hands.

Americo leaves daughters Gerri Chadderton and her husband Bart of West Haven; Janet Gabriel of Beacon Falls and Robin Gabriel of Waterford; step son Greg Lopardo and his wife Karen of Torrington, Step son Michael Lapardo and his wife Pat of Torrington and Joseph Lapardo and his wife Renee of Florida; brother and sister in law Joe and Pat Gabriel of Plymouth; brothers Angelo Gabriel of North Carolina and Albert Gabriel of Pennsylvania; sister Jane Murad of Florida and several nieces and nephews and niece Debbie Pereira was like a fourth daughter. He was predeceased by his sister in law Phyllis Gabriel and brother in law Louie Murad.

ARRANGEMENTS- Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 12th  at 2:30 P.M.. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 204 North Main Street Naugatuck .
