Mary Ellen (McGinley) Trachter

Naugatuck-Mary Ellen (McGinley) Trachter, age 69, widow of Gary D. Trachter, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Tuesday May 8, 2018.

She was born in Danbury, CT July 26, 1948, daughter of the late William Francis and Margaret Mary (Bigham) McGinley.  A longtime Naugatuck resident, she retired from St. Mary’s Hospital in 2017 where she worked for over 27 years.  Mary Ellen enjoyed reading, dining at various restaurants, and traveling with her family and friends.

She leaves her son, Jason E. Trachter of Naugatuck; her nieces and nephews, Margaret Hunihan, Sharon Tolland, Richard, Patricia, Kevin, and Christopher Seman.  She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Seman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, followed by a celebration of her life at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
