Walter W. Karezna

Waterbury-Walter W. Karezna, age 96, passed away peacefully at Cheshire House on Friday March 22, 2019.  He was predeceased by his wife Frances (Sawicki) Karezna.

He was born in Waterbury, CT on July 3, 1922, son of the late John P. and Anna (Varevich) Karezna.  He was a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II.  Walter was a lifelong resident of Waterbury having grown up on his family’s farm.  He enjoyed a long life and took pride in his work, home and sense of humor.  He was a member of the NRA, and was an avid photographer and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his brother Daniel of Waterbury; his sister Julia Barkauskas of Florida; and his extended family.
