Alfred H. Ferrara

BETHANY- Alfred H. Ferrara, 90, of Bethany, died Wednesday, January 29th, 2020 at Glendale Center in Naugatuck. He was the husbsnd of Diane E. (Soboleski) Ferrara.

Alfred was born April 29th, 1929 in New Haven, Ct., son of the late John and Amelia (Vanacore) Ferrara. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He worked as a sorter for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement after 35 years. Since 2000 he was devoted to taking care of his wife Diane. He we was a fan of the New York Yankees and UConn Womens Basketball. He enjoyed gardening and espcially loved his flowers.

In addition to his wife, Alfred leaves son Anthony Ferrara and his wife Michele of Naugatuck, daughter Anita Cirrincione and her husband Mark of Bethany, five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters Joseph, Mario , Anna and Nancy Ferrara and Teresa Soboleski.

ARRANGEMENTS - Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 1st at 6:30 P.M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street Naugatuck. .
