Anthony T. Costa

Naugatuck-Anthony T. Costa, age 85, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Norwalk Hospital.  He was the husband of Zita (Campos) Costa.

Born in Murtosa, Portugal, on March 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Reinaldo and Carolina (Tavares) Costa.  He immigrated to Naugatuck in 1962 as a tool-maker, later becoming an entrepreneur owning multiple businesses and properties. He took great pride in what he had accomplished as a Portuguese immigrant.  Insisting his children and grandchildren carry his legacy in real estate. He enjoyed life his own way and made his own rules. He loved his family and always wanted them close. 

Besides his loving wife Zita of 48 years, who was always by his side, he leaves his two sons, Anthony C. Costa and Albano R. Costa, their wives and his four beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Adrian, Gabriel, and Damian Costa.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.  Burial will be in Bunheiro, Murtosa, Portugal.  To send an online condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
