Carmela "Lina" Caruso Obituary
Naugatuck-Carmela “Lina” (Migliore) Caruso, age 80, widow of Angelo Caruso, passed away on Saturday August 1, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Born in Vittoria, Sicily on April 26, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Vincezo and Vincenza (D’Onolfo) Migliore. Carmela was a former seamstress at Leather Sportswear and Bridgeport Lingerie for many years. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving children, John Caruso of East Haven, Vincent Caruso of Rome GA, Joseph Caruso of MA, Enrico Caruso of Southington, and Nancy Laviolette of Naugatuck; her sisters, Maria Tedona and Rosetta D’Angelo, both of Sicily; her fifteen grandchildren; her eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Carmela was predeceased by her daughter Concetta Caruso.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 8, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Family and friend may call on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.
