Diane Mazur Obituary

Middlebury-Diane (Posila) Mazur, age 77, widow of Stanley J. Mazur, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday August 18, 2023.

 

Born in Waterbury, CT on December 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. Posila, Sr. and Henrietta (Majewski) Posila.  She grew up in Waterbury and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut.   Diane was a longtime resident of Middlebury and was a retired teacher.  She enjoyed interior decorating, crossword puzzles, and spending time at her cottage in Cape Cod.

 

She is survived by her loving nephew Sean Henry Posila of Waterbury; her cousins, other relatives and friends.  Diane was predeceased by her sister Carol Fanzoso and brother Henry C. Posila, Jr.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 24, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, followed by a service to celebrate her life.  Burial will be private.   To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
