Waterbury- Elizabeth Jane (Moore) DiMasso, 84, of Waterbury, died peacefully Tuesday June 29th,2021 at Livewell in Plainville after a long illness. She was the wife of Ralph J. DiMasso.
Betty was born in Waterbury May 7th,1937, daughter of the late James R. and Veronica “ Jane “ (Cahill) Moore Dowling. She was a graduate of Crosby High School. She worked as a teller at Colonial Bank and as a cashier at Sears and Jarjuras.
Betty was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church, and a member of the SFX Home and School Association and the Parish Minstrel. Being a grandmother was her favorite occupation.
In addition to her husband Betty is survived by her daughters Maria DiMasso of Waterbury; Jane Pinho and her fiance Paul Murray of East Haven; son David DiMasso and his wife Laura of Waterbury; daughter in law Patricia DiMasso of Waterbury; sister Rosemary O’Malley and her husband Ed of Danbury; brother in law Michael Marzano; seven grandchildren , five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John DiMasso, stepfather James Dowling, sisters Kate Dowling, Maureen Marzano and Juliann Murphy and her husband James; brother James “Buddy “ Dowling ,; daughter in law Karin DiMasso and son in law George Pinho.
Arrangements: Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Old Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Monday July 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck Ct. 06770.
