Shirley (Gagnon) Tedesco

Shirley Gagnon Tedesco age 89 died at LiveWell Care in Plantsville, CT on Tuesday, November 22,2022. She was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut to Edward and Helen Gagnon. Shirley was one of five children. Survivors include three daughters, one son, eight grandchildren, fivegreat grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.  She was married to John “Jack” Tedesco until his death in 2019, for 62 years.  They lived and raised their family in Naugatuck CT.

Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be remembered most for her sweetness and wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Later in life she found happiness in painting.

Shirley leaves behind three daughters and one son; Teri Raftery and husband Stephen of Apex, North Carolina, Christine Boisvert and husband David of Watertown, CT, John Tedesco III and wife Elisabete of Austin, TX and Jacklyn Breier and husband Joseph of Pittsburg, PA.  She also will be missed by her eight grandchildren: Chelsea Raftery Avram, Sarah Raftery, Nicole (Boisvert) Olsen, Natalie Boisvert, John Tedesco IV, Troy Tedesco, Levi Breier and Samantha Breier. Shirley will also leave fivegreat grandchildren: Sonny Avram, Magdalena Olsen, Sylvie Olsen Logan Plourde. and Arijeta Breier.

A Mass of Christian burial for Shirley Tedesco, 89, who died November 22nd, 2022 will be held Friday, January 13th, 2023 at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet cemetery, Watertown. friends may call at the Naugatuck valley memorial Fitzgerald zembruski funeral home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck from 9 AM to 10:30 AM.
