NAUGATUCK - Albert E. Raymond, age 65, beloved husband of Gail Streigle, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
Born in Mt. Vernon, NY on August 22, 1957, he was the son of the late Albert E. Raymond and Anne (Spencer) Raymond. Al graduated from City College in New York with a Bachelors in Anthropology. He lived in Naugatuck with his family since 1984 and was heavily involved with Naugatuck Emergency Management and CERT. A former member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Al loved studying history and practicing his swordsmanship. His largest desire in life was to connect with other people, and in his quest to do so, Al earned an Extra Class Amateur Radio License and a General Radio Operator’s License.
Al was preceded in death by his sister Christine. He leaves behind his wife, Gail, his brother Kenneth and sister-in law Vera Glazewski, and his daughter Emily and her spouse Emmett McMullan.
