Ana DaSilva Obituary

Naugatuck-Ana DaSilva, age 95, widow of Floriano DaSilva, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday November 2, 2020.

 

Born in Murtosa, Portugal on November 7, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Albertina (Pereira) Lopes.  She came to the United States in 1960 with her family and settled in Naugatuck.  Ana had worked at T.F. Butterfield for many years as well as the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a talented seamstress.

 

Ana is survived by her sons, Ilidio DaSilva and his wife Maria of Naugatuck, and John DaSilva and his wife Marcia of Tewksbury, MA; her two grandchildren, Paul and Eliza; her four great grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Amelia, and Calvin; and several nieces and nephews.

 

The family would like to thank caregivers Olinda Fonseca, Marcelina Gomes, Rosa Almeida, Albertina Ramos for the amazing care given to Anna during her illness, and especially Debbie Monteiro for her support in coordinating this team.
