Ana Goncalves Obituary
Naugatuck-Ana (Da Cruz) Goncalves, age 58, beloved wife of Fernando Goncalves, passed away on Wednesday November 3, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Born in Seara Velha Chaves, Portugal, on February 28, 1963, she was the daughter of Carminda (Geraldo) Da Cruz of Portugal and the late Manuel Da Cruz. Ana came to the United States with her family in 1980. She had worked in the bakery department at Stop & Shop in Naugatuck for 21 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Ana enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting.
Besides her husband Fernando of 39 years, Ana leaves her mother of Portugal; her four brothers; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother.
Her funeral will be held on Monday November 8, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
