NAUGATUCK - Barbara Mortensen, 88, of Naugatuck, died peacefully Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at Cheshire House in Waterbury. She was the widow of Robert Mortensen. 

Barbara was born in Waterbury Ct. August 11th, 1936, daughter of the late Jennie Kowalewski Wheeler. She was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck. She worked at Peter Paul Hershey Co. for many years before her retirement. She was  a longtime parishioner of St. Hedwigs Church.

Barbara leaves her sons and daughters in law Albert Mortensen, Bruce and Vicki Mortensen, John Mortensen and Michael and Lisa Mortensen; daughter and son in law Karen and Brian Casey and daughter Lisa Mortensen Jasinski; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her sons in law  Gary Jasinski and Richard Buxton.

ARRANGEMENTS - Graveside Services will be held Monday, October 21st, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at St. James Cemetery , Cross Street, Naugatuck.
