Benicia (Marques) DaSilva

Naugatuck-Benicia (Marques) DaSilva, age 79, beloved wife of Jose DaSilva, passed away on Monday November 14, 2022 at Abbott Terrace Health Care Center.

Born in Brazil on August 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Conegundes Marques DaSilva and Joanna Aviz DaSilva.  Benicia was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and she enjoyed sewing, cooking and her family.

Besides her husband Jose, she leaves her family; her son Fabiano DaSilva and her daughter Renata DaSilva; her three grandchildren, Elias, Andrew and Kyria DeSousa; her siblings Jose Ribamar Marques and Nadir Marques; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son Jason DaSilva.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 18, 2022 from 9-10 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury.  Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
