Casimer Matyjasik Obituary

Sagamore Beach, MA-Casimer Matyjasik, formerly of Beacon Falls Connecticut, passed away on June 6, 2025 in Wickford, Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine (Biscoe)  Matyjasik.

Cas was born on August 3,1932 in Beacon Falls. He was the son of the late Walter and Julia (Sierakowski) Matyjasik. He attended school in Beacon Falls and went on to graduate from Seymour High School where he was a star football player. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Upon his discharge, he returned to Beacon Falls and was married to the love of his life, Elaine Biscoe of Union City, CT.

He was employed by the Southern New England Telephone Company for many years until his retirement. While at SNETCO, he made many lifelong friends who always referred to him as Matty.  After retirement, Matty and Elaine moved their permanent residence to Sagamore Beach on Cape Cod where they became fun-filled hosts to their family and friends for many years. He enjoyed surf casting off the beach and shared many of his fish tales with all.

He is survived by his children Donna Yorty of Wakefield RI, Leonard Matyjasik of Ocala FL, and Karen Holupka of Medway, MA as well as their spouses and 5 grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother Chester Matyjasik.

His final wish was to ensure that all who survive him know that he had a great life and rather than mourn his passing, go out and have some fun. Do what makes you happy and remember him fondly while doing so.
