Clara Barbara (Krzyzanowski) Resavy, 97, longtime resident of Waterbury, died peacefully with family by her side April 2, 2023. She was the widow of William J. Resavy.
Clara was born November 27, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Walter and Josephine (Prunelewicz) Krzyzanowski. She was a nurse’s aide specializing in private duty care taking.
Clara was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was an avid bowler, first competing in duckpin then graduating to 10 pin leagues. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed reading.
Clara leaves her sons Stephen (Stephanie) Resavy of Florida and William (Martha) Resavy of Mississippi; daughters Sandra (Tom) Hulk of Hamden and Susan (Ed) Babenco of Ansonia; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
ARRANGEMENTS- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated held Monday April 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Church Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbruy. Friends may visit with the family at Naugatuck Valley Memorial/ Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home 240 North Main Street Naugatuck on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
