Naugatuck-Daniel Raymond Allard, 64, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2024 at St. Raphael's Hospital.  He was the fiancée of Sheila Murphy.

He is survived by his sisters,  Debra (Steve) Moody, Diane ( Edward Norton,Jr);  his nieces and nephews, Dennis Allard,  Dawn Allard,  Danielle Renner, Durand Liguori, Luigi Liguori, Diane Rebecca Cyr,  Fernand J. Cyr, Edward Norton III, Brandon Norton and Donald Allard; his aunt and uncle, Delores and Norman Allard.

Daniel has rejoined family that predeceased him, parents, Donald Allard and Patricia Franklin (Allard) Donelly; his step-father,Thomas Donnelly; his siblings Denise Liguori,  Donna Milrod, and Donald Allard.

Danny  was  born in Waterbury and attended Waterbury grammar schools and Naugatuck High School. He received his diploma in Naugatuck. 

Dan eventually moved back to Naugatuck in 1987.

He especially enjoyed going fishing, to concerts (Hank Williams, Jr. was his favorite), playing darts, bowling, and going to the casino. He was a die-hard New York Giants and UCONN women's basketball fan. He loved nature and science, cooking and in later years, gardening and computer games.  

He worked many jobs throughout his early years but he became an accomplished painter and carpenter before retiring.

His beloved black labs were his pride and joy.  Suzie, Maggie, and Ruby went everywhere with him. Danny relished teaching them new tricks,  going on hikes and  swimming in the lake.

Danny cherished spending time with his family and friends. Tuesday night dinners, Halloween, and Christmas Eve were family traditions. Spontaneous cookouts and playing cards afterwards was always exciting.

He was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #640. Dan served as  Past President in Naugatuck.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
