Domingos M. Almeida

NAUGATUCK- Domingos M. Almeida, 76, of Naugatuck, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at his home. He was the husband of Maria Ercilia Valente Almeida.

Mr. Almeida was born October 27th, 1947 in Pardilho, Portugal, son of the late Armando and Lourdes (Matos)  Almeida. He was Vice President of Cocchiola Paving, retiring after 49 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. 

Domingos was a member of the Naugatuck Portuguese Club. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and collecting.

In addition to his wife Domingos leaves his daughter Florbela Page and her husband Christopher , son Joe Almeida and his wife Suzy, as well as his grandchildren Elizabeth, Christopher, Mathew and Michael Page and Jacob Almeida, all of Naugatuck. 

ARRANGEMENTS- Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March  13th, when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated  at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Church , 2071 Baldwin St. Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 A. M. at  Naugatuck Valley Memorial / Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.   Memorial contributions  may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church  2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, CT 06706.
