WATERTOWN- Doris  (Schipper) Smith Lezotte, 102, died peacefully Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at Apple Rehab of Watertown. She was the widow of Henry J. Lezotte.

Doris was born February 3rd, 1920 in Bridgeport, Ct., daughter of the late John and Sarah (Gerard) Schipper. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from private duty nursing after 42 years.

Doris was a longtime resident of Naugatuck, a parishioner of St. Marys Church, and active in the AARP, chapter 495 and the Naugatuck Senior Center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Naugatuck.

Doris is survived by her son and daughter in law Douglas W. and Marina Smith of Medellin, Columbia; daughter in law Carolyn Smith of Waterbury; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Henry, she was predeceased by her sons Richard A. Smith and Donald F. Smith

ARRANGEMENTS- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. Calling hours from 8:00 A.M to 9::00 A.M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
