Elizabeth “Betty” Lubowiecki of Middlebury was born in Hamden, Connecticut on January 10, 1927 to Julia Ogeba and Joseph Selvoski. Betty is predeceased by her beloved husband Edmund “Duke” Lubowiecki and her sister Wanda Robinson. Betty departed this earth on November 30, 2024 in Fredericksburg, VA. where she lived the past 2 years. Nov. 30th was Duke’s birthday! Betty leaves a loving family: Dana & Brian Ross of Fredericksburg, VA., Elizabeth Bloom of Waterbury, Ct. and Edmund & Martha Lubowiecki of Oxford, CT. Betty cherished her Grandchildren Marissa Mills of NY and Matthew Ross of Texas. Betty was delighted by her 3 great granddaughters Serena Mills, Caroline Mills and Sabine Ross. The family remembers many happy times with the four generations. Betty graduated from Wilby High School and attended Post College in Waterbury, Ct. This led Betty to her careeras an executive secretary at Timex Corp. in Middlebury, Ct.Betty found time to be active in her parish too, St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Waterbury, Ct. Betty enjoyed her time as President of the Ladies Guild and being involved in church activities.


A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in the spring in Naugatuck, Ct. Burial will be private at St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck, Connecticut.
