Eva Ann Braca Obituary
Eva Ann Braca, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024. Her devoted husband, son, and sister were by her side.
She was born in 1946 and raised in Fairfield by her mother and father, Dorothy and Zolman Scott, graduating Roger Ludlowe High School in 1964. The original dancing queen, Eve could often be found on the dance floors of Connecticut and Port Chester in the 70s and 80s. By day she worked diligently as an administrative assistant in Fairfield middle schools, eventually working full time as the assistant to the Dean of Administration at Norwalk Community College. A stroke in her late 40s did not slow her down when she turned her attention to craft projects and decorating her home.
The loves of her life were her husband, Richard Braca, who was her partner for over 55 years, and her son Jonathan Chernes. Her best friend was her sister, Sharon Oakley, and she adored her nephews Christopher, Joshua, and Matthew whose photos, drawings, and notes adorned the walls of her home.
Burial will be a private ceremony with close family per her wishes. Consider a donation to Vitas Hospice or Connecticut Humane Society (she loved her cats!).
