Evelyn S. (Ragaini) Dorosh

Beacon Falls-Evelyn S. (Ragaini) Dorosh, widow of Leonard Dorosh, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday January 25, 2026.  She was 98 years old.

She was born in Ansonia, CT on October 28, 1927, daughter of the late  Giovanni and Adeline (Letizi) Ragaini.  She was a longtime Beacon Falls resident and retired from the United States Department of Defense Flight Office.  Evelyn enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, duck pin bowling and was a championship bowler.  She loved cooking, family dinners candy crush, trips to the casino, dancing on the weekends  and was famous for her Christmas eve dinners and her homemade macaroni, pierogies and worm soup.

She leaves her family to cherish her memory, five sons Leonard, Joseph, Mark, Jeffrey, and Michael Dorosh; her twelve grandchildren; her eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Evelyn was predeceased by her four brothers Siegelfredo,  Ottavio, August, and Pasquale and her five sisters Mafalda, Viola, Annie, Mary and Zena,  her granddaughter Heather Dorosh and her grandson Joseph R. Dorosh, Jr. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday February 1, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 2, 2026  at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls.  Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.  To send an on line condolence or share a memory, please visit http://www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com.
