Naugatuck-Florence D. (Swenton) Jaskiewicz, wife of the late Steven W. Jaskiewicz, passed away peacefully at Shady Knoll Health Care on Friday October 31, 2025.  She was 97 years old.

Born in Bristol, CT on November 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Kurtyka) Swenton.  Florence was a longtime Naugatuck resident and retired form Lewis Engineering after many years of service.  She was an active member of St. Hedwig’s Church, along with her husband, until its closing.  She enjoyed reading, polka music (especially Jimmy Sturr) and polka dancing, trips to the casino, and UCONN basketball.

Florence leaves her loving family to honor her memory, daughter Karen Myers of Naugatuck; her two grandsons Justin Jaskiewicz (Nicole) and Jonathan Myers; and her two great grandchildren Spencer and Fiona.  She was predeceased by her son Donald Jaskiewicz.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.  To send an online condolence or share a memory, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com.
