Florence R. (Cool) Cordeau

Naugatuck- Florence Cordeau, 94, of Naugatuck, died peacefully Monday February 16th, 2026 at Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the widow of Gerard J. Cordeau.

Florence was born in Coventry, Vt. January 9th 1932, daughter of the late William and Flora (Gignac) Cool. She was a longtime resident of Naugatuck, a parishioner of St. Mary's Church and a member of their Choir. She was devoted to her family and especially to her grandchildren.

Florence leaves her sons and daughters in law Thomas and Donna Cordeau of Goshen, Paul and Lori Cordeau of Naugatuck and Peter and Karleen Cordeau of Goshen; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren  and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Marguerite Girouard, her brother Normand Cool, and her grandson David Cordeau.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Francis of  Assisi Church  in Naugatuck Saturday, February 21st at 10:00 a.m.  Please meet directly at the church at 9:45 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery  Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held Friday February 20th from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.  at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street Naugatuck, Ct. 06770.
