Frank Edward Smierciak

Naugatuck-Frank E. Smierciak, age 90, beloved husband of Estelle (Majewski) Smierciak, passed away peacefully at Complete Care at Glendale on Wednesday June 28, 2023.

Born in Derby, CT on February 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph and Katherine Smierciak.  Frank was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and retired from Hamden High School.  He was also a television repair man having worked for RCA.  He was a handyman who could fix or repair anything, especially electronics.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Airforce.  Frank enjoyed his family, yardwork and gardening.

In addition to his wife Estelle of 66 loving years, he leaves his brother Henry Smierciak; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 30, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street in Naugatuck.  Members of the Naugatuck Veterans Council will meet at 10:00 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at  St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck.  Burial with military honors will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
