Waterbury-Glen M. Toupin, Sr., age 78, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Monday February 19, 2024. He was husband of the late Flora (Kenney) Toupin.
Born in Bridgeport, CT on February 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Paul and Alice (Esposito) Toupin. He spent his younger years in Bridgeport and was a graduate of Bullard Haven Technical School before moving to Waterbury with his family. Glen worked as Manager and Bartender at Mr. Happy’s Café in Waterbury for many years, as well as VFW Post 201. He enjoyed western movies, singing, working on cars, and spending time with his family. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam.
Glen leaves his children, sons David Toupin, Glen M. Toupin, Jr. and his fiancé Kimberly Dunn; daughter Paulette Petrosky and her husband Christopher, all of Waterbury; his seven grandchildren, Glen III, Christopher, Alice, Brandon, Brittany, Liliana, and Juliet; his three great grandchildren, Avery, London, and Carter; his brothers, David and Jimmy Toupin and Martin Esposito; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul Jewls, Jr., Fred, Sr.; and his sister Colleen.
Visitation honoring Glen’s life will be held on Friday March 1, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.
