NAUGATUCK- Helen Louise (Carroll) Phillips, 87, of Naugatuck, died peacefully at Beacon Brook Health Center on December 4th, 2023. She was the widow of William E. Phillips Sr.
Helen was born in Waterbury December 15th, 1935, daughter of the late James and Marguerite (Oates) Carroll. She was retired from Seal Manufacturing, where she worked the Accounts Payable Department as a bookkeeper. She was a parishioner of St. Vincent's Ferrer Church and a founding member of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafting, reading and traveling. She was a fan of the UCONN Huskies men and women's basketball teams.
Helen leaves two sons William E. Phillips Jr. of Naugatuck and David J. Phillips and his wife Stacie of Waterbury; and her grandson Oliver Phillips. She was predeceased by her brother James Carroll and her sisters Elizabeth Miller, Maryann Lovetro, and Margaret Garren.
ARRANGEMENTS- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at 10:00 A. M. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church , Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.
