Cheshire-Henry A. Wasilek, age 95, passed away on Friday January 14, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Geschimsky) Wasilek.
Born in Beacon Falls, CT on July 28, 1926, he was the son of the late Alexander and Anastasia (Pigut) Wasilek. Henry was a longtime resident of Beacon Falls and retired for the Footwear Division of Uniroyal after 36 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the 97th Infantry. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Henry was also a longtime member of St. Michael’s Church in Beacon Falls.
Besides his loving wife Joan of 67 years, he leaves many cousins.
His funeral will be held on Thursday January 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
