NAUGATUCK - James Joseph Pollak Jr., 76, of Naugatuck, entered into the gates of heaven on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the loving husband of Rachel (Hamblin) Pollak.
James was born on July 22,1949 in Norwalk, CT, the son of the late James J. and Ethel Grace (Ulman) Pollak Sr.. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Norwalk and Porter and Chester Institute, earning a degree in Architectural Drafting. He was employed at Perkin Elmer, SVG and later at ASML in Wilton, working in optical coating until his retirement. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his wife Rachel of 52 years, James leaves his daughter and son in law Diana and Joseph Brancato of Hudson, FL, his sons James (J.R.) Pollak of Naugatuck and Joseph Pollak and his significant other Kim Fabrizio of Watertown; granddaughter Gianna Brancato and his granddogs Trio and Harley. He will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family and his kindness and quick wit . He enjoyed crossword puzzles, giving unofficial movie reviews, horse racing, feeding his backyard birds, sneaking snacks and was a devoted San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers fan.
