Naugatuck-James A. Emanuel, Sr., age 68, beloved husband of Jean (Rivers) Emanuel, passed away on November 2, 2022, at Waterbury Hospital.

James was born in Bennettsville, SC on August 20, 1954, the son of the late Oscar Porter and Mary Emanuel. James is a U.S Army Veteran and spent 30+ years of service at the US Post office, after retirement James and his family relocated to Connecticut where they’ve resided for the past 12 years. James loved sports and music he loved James brown & was a huge New York Giants fan.

Besides his wife of 35 years Jean, and stepfather Charles Sr. he leaves his nine sons, James, Jr., Josiah, Jameel, Terrell, Tequan, Usef, Christopher, and Jonathan; his five daughters, Angel, Melissa, Jessica, Sarah, and Emily; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his two brothers Jerry and Ricky; his two sisters Maryland and Patricia; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
