Waterbury-Jeanette Agnes (Zyblaski) Olschefski, age 97, entered into eternal rest at St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Innovative Care Unit. She was the wife of the late Theodore P. Olschefski Jr.
She was born in Waterbury, CT March 18, 1925, daughter of the late James and Agnes Zyblaski. Jeanette was a graduate of Wilby High School, Post Junior College, and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She retired from the City of Waterbury Health Department/Nursing Division after many years of service, where she worked as a Clerk Typist II. Jeanette enjoyed reading, solving crossword and jumble puzzles, and playing Scrabble.
She leaves her children, Laurine Parente (Patrick) and Judith Finlay (Robert), Robert Olschefski, and Paul Olschefski (Jean); eight grandchildren, Peter (Jackie) Parente, Kevin Parente, Alisha Finlay, Kelly Finlay, Matthew Olschefski (Karen), Christopher Olschefski, Daniel Olschefski, and Samantha Olschefski; 2 great-grandchildren, Juliana Parente and Olivia Olschefski; niece Linda Andrikis; nephews, Steven Andrikis (Robin), and Brian Andrikis (Angela). Jeanette was predeceased by her sister Helen Zyblaski; daughter-in-law Ellen F. Olschefski; sisters-in-law Irene Olschefski and Evelyn Andrikis; and brother-in-law Vincent Andrikis.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, East Main Street, Waterbury.
