Joao Regalado Obituary
Naugatuck- Joao Anjo Regalado, 68, of Naugatuck, died unexpectedly Monday, June 1st, 2020 at his home. He was the husband of Maria (Oliveira) Regalado.
Joao was born in Sabuzedo, Montalegre, Portugal March 11th, 1952, son of the late Jose Alves Regalado and Adelina Goncalves Anjo. He was a union laborer working in construction and concrete for DeFelice and Son and HalbergConstruction Co..
He was a member of the Naugatuck Portuguese Club. He enjoyed fishing, soccer, working on cars, and planting his garden but most of all he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He leaves two daughters Connie M. Merolli and her husband Gentian of Watertown, Susie A. Gonzaga and her husband Carlos of Naugatuck, sisters Maria Castanheira of Waterbury, Amelia Soderquist and her husband Chris of Sandy Hook; grandchildren Patricia, Carlos Jr., Annabella, Angel Marie, Genaldi and Izebella, great grandchildren Leila and Celin, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters Isabel and Lisa Regalado.
