Oakville-Jonathan P. Chrzanowski, age 35, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 18, 2025 at Yale Smilow Cancer Center surrounded by his family.

Born in Waterbury, CT on August 17, 1989, he was the son of Peter P. Chrzanowski of Naugatuck and Joy (Carlson) Paiva of South Carolina. Jonathan, better known as Jon, was raised in Naugatuck. He was a graduate of Emmett O’Brien Technical High School where he played baseball on two championship teams. Jon lived the simple life, he was a hard worker, taking pride in everything he did. He loved everything outdoors; hiking, fishing, and bow hunting. He enjoyed welding, wood working and was an avid New York Yankee fan.

Jon was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in January of 2020, over the years he continued to push through treatments and live a normal but fulfilling life. He faced his cancer with incredible strength and humor, always making others laugh even in his final days.

In addition to his loving parents, he leaves his family to cherish his memory; his beloved partner Briana Barquin, her parents John and Kerry Barquin, and their son Tyler Barquin; his uncle Richard Chrzanowski; and many other relatives and close friends.
