Joseph spent most of his life wrapped up in sports and being a hard worker to provide for his family. During his four years at Fairfield College he participated in baseball and football. Once out of college he became a truck driver for Sunbeam delivering bread. Joe worked for Sunbeam for 35 years and worked his way up as a sales manager in Waterbury and then a Supervisor in Bridgeport, the last 5 years he worked at Sunbeam. After retiring from Sunbeam he worked at The Waterbury Country Club for about 10 years.

He was a resident of Naugatuck for over 55 years, where he took care of his family and made great friends. Joe continued with many different sports during his time in Naugatuck. He played softball in Fairfield for some years, and also played on a bowling league at Lakewood Lanes in Waterbury. With the close friends he made living on Millville Avenue, he played racketball every week and even earned himself the Millville Champion title. Throughout his time at Sunbeam his boss and some co-workers played cards every Wednesday night, even far into retirement. Besides sports his favorite thing to do was travel and go on cruises with his wife, family, and friends. For the last few years of Joe’s life, his focus was playing and enjoying the time with his great-grandson Dante.
