Laurence Bernard Brown, 81 passed away Wednesday December 29, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband and soul mate of Claudia Brown for 41 wonderful years. He was born in New York City to the late Horace A Brown Sr. and to the late Dorothy B. Fuller.
Laurence could cook anything you asked and so delicious that you would never forget. He opened countless restaurants and night clubs. Setting them up in every detail from the restaurant design to the menu and the recipes. He has a resume of so many fine establishments. In Naugatuck alone was Chic N Ribs and Fortins Restaurante. He opened the night clubs Challengers and Shabooms in the Rhode Island area. Worked in Fuddruckers, Boston Markets, Taco Bell - just to name a few.And also for NASCAR- Bubba Q’s
After the restaurants Laurence was in the Car Business. But always his love of cooking prevailed.
Laurence is survived by his wife Claudia. And survived by his children. Letecia Brown, Darryl Chambers, Michael Tisdale, Lance McLaughlin, Tracey Chambers, Harold Dimbo, Abdu Brown, Asim Brown, Kairi Brown, Laurence B. Brown Jr, Shelley Malcolm, Jennifer Brown, Lonnie Brown, Calista Reagan, Kim Ericson, and Celina Whitmore.
Laurence is survived by his two sisters Honore Bowman and Lecia Fuller and predeceased by his brother Horace A Brown Jr.
Laurence leaves behind many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be delayed to a later date because of the coronavirus epidemic.
We look forward to gathering together to celebrate his life and legacy when it is safer for those he loved to do so. Laurence never had a bad word to say about anyone. His smile and sparkling eyes lit up the world and could turn the darkest day around in a second. He always put others above himself and would help anyone that needed it. His soul was a beautiful one that touched and helped so many. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
